We aren’t new to high-tech helmets for soldiers, we’ve seen sniper detecting helmets and Augmented Reality helmets already, now courtesy Raytheon we’ll see Scorpion helmets, designed for combat aircraft pilots to kill at a glance. Raytheon has been a busy name this past week, after its much hyped anti-aircraft laser for US Navy’s Phalanx and battle app for Android smartphones, the US based firm now showed monocle-like helmet at the Farnborough International Airshow. The Scorpion on a pilot’s glance at the enemy target sends weapons data to the plane, making the target acquisition faster. The Scorpion helmet isn’t really a full-fledged helm but is a attachment that sticks into the currently used helmet F-16 and A-10 combat jets.
