Mass marketed, low cost electronic devices are all the rage now in this propitious phase of technological progression, as conceptions such as the $110 Indian laptop comes to mind. And about to advance along this fascinating trend is former game-designer David Braben's 'ultra-minimalist' PC, which is touted to come at a 'dirt cheap' price of only $25.

The designer has started his foundation Raspberry Pi exclusively for mass manufacturing of such small, yet effective PCs. According to reports, the product we are talking about will have the size of a USB drive, and will comprise of a 700MHz ARM11 processor, 128MB of RAM, ports for video, removable media, and USB 2.0. A conventional I/O slot for connecting camera or wireless module will also be provided to complete the package for this petite contraption.
With a 16GB SD card, a USB hub connecting a mouse and keyboard, and any monitor that connects to composite or HDMI, we can have fully functional PC that is substantially powerful compared to its size. So, at the end of the day, we can't really deny the convenience of this conception, especially from the perspective of the developing market section in the thriving electronic industry.
