RamSan 6200 - 100 terabyte capacity SSD by Texas Memory Systems

Five million input/outputs per second (IOPS) with 60GB/sec throughput - this is what the RanSan 6200 is capable of performing. The RamSan 6200 is the highest capacity solid state disk (SSD) system by Texas Memory Systems. It consumes just over 6Kw of power while processing that many inputs and supports 40 to 160 4Gbit/sec Fiber Channel ports or 20 to 80 10Gbit/sec InfiniBand ports.

This SSD system provides 100 terabytes of capacity in a single 40U rack configuration. The RamSan 6200 employs single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory, multiple levels of RAID and advanced flash management algorithms providing enhanced reliability. This array is controlled through TeraWatch software from the same company. But everything good comes at a sound price, a full featured RamSan 6200 rack will cost around $4.4 million and a single 1U, 5TB RamSan-620 will be priced at $220,000.
