Qualcomm to aggrandize your cell phones with broadcast TV
Set to give your small screen a big push, Paul E. Jacobs, CEO of Qualcomm Inc., asserts, "The cell phone is the TV of the future".
Qualcomm is geared up to make the cell phone your TV on the go by offering the industry's first broadcast TV service known as 'MediaFLO'. MediaFLO will come with 20 TV channels and 10 music channels. You'll be able to store programs onto your phones to be played back later, providing you programs whenever and wherever you want.
Till now you're able to just download shows from servers landing up with fuzzy pictures but with MediaFLO, Qualcomm promises better picture quality giving a TV-like experience. But at the same time Qualcomm is also a bit skeptical with respect to the success of the venture, as more consumers today want phones just to make calls.
