Quadriplegics can now hunt with their mouth

Posted By: Jayprashanth Mohanram | Dec 15 2009

Yes, like the title suggests, a US court has allowed a quadriplegic man to use his shotgun for hunting. While this will certainly incense the animal lovers, Jamie Cap, who has won a two and a half year battle with the New Jersey courts, is certainly overjoyed. Jamie, who was left crippled after a football accident, fought the legal system to get a gun license for his specially designed shotgun. The shotgun has to be set up by an aide. Jamie can then aim with his mouth through a toggle. To pull the trigger however, an aide must first release the safety, after which Jamie needs to sip on the breathing tube to fire. Here is what Jamie has to say about the entire event: "I don't know if there are words," he said. "I'm so happy."
