There hasn’t been anything as cool as the Great Pyramid PC case mod we saw a while back. But the modders wouldn’t let that live for long. Here is another, not so strikingly impressive, but comparatively cool attempt to do another Pyramid case mod. From Bit-tech form’s Sci-fi addict Gup, this custom-made case mod features plenty of innovations including the brilliant and rather rare motorised panel.

For the external design, the case mod takes leaf from the space-faring Pyramid in the film ‘Stargate’. Being an HTPC, we could have expected this to mimic the Egyptian pyramids in size, but it is only a 35cm x 35cm case, but stuff within a Commel lV-677 mini-ITX motherboard and a slimline optical drive. The frame of the PC is constructed out of aluminium, while a motorised door is featured on it with a 5-inch PSOne screen. Fitted with CCLF lights and LEDs for internal illumination, over the system’s acrylic panels Gup’s fitted a layer of wood sprayed with copper colored paint. The mod is a fitting beauty; therefore I suggest you embrace it.
