Plug and play is now passe as push to play is now here. How about a radio that plays when you push it into place? Yes, this very unconventional design is the handiwork designwork of industrial designer Thierry Dumaine from the design firm, C-design. This contraption could prove to be very handy in your car; if you want a portable radio that you can carry home after you drive back. Termed as the Citroen Cdesign radio for no apparent reason, the radio has a built in speaker and runs on 6 pencil batteries and also on 9V DC power. To change frequencies just twist it’s circular head and the radio shifts to other stations. And the entire creation sits on a large spring that gives the radio it’s push to play functionality. Though it is still in the conceptual stage, it definitely looks like an out-of-the-box idea that could just add a bit of life to our bedrooms or for that matter even our cars.
