The bizarre concept is the brainchild of Hiroo Iwata of the University of Tskukuba VR Lab in Japan. The powered shoes couples virtual reality goggles that simply give you a virtual tour of a place while maintaining your position. The powered shoes take you in a virtual environment where you don’t actually have to tire your legs to look around the massive mall and still have a virtual tour of it.
