Sharp Corporation has come out with a new Intelligent Power Conditioner which helps to use the electric vehicle batteries as a storage battery for home usage. The company is in the verge of releasing it for commercial marketing once it completes the reliability and safety tests. Sharp has used its power control technology to operate the storage batteries and solar cells in conjunction. Thus, it can supply electrical energy to the requirements of home consistently. In the tests conducted by the company, it has been established that battery in a commercially available electric vehicle can store up to 4kWh of energy in just 30 minutes and was able to supply 8kWh of energy which is ideal for running all kinds of electrical appliances in home.
