The screen of the detector lets you know the exact status of the storm by informing how far the lightning is and how much time it will take for the storm to reach your place. And above all, it is so easy to use that even children can conveniently use it.

The software inside the portable lightning detector analyses the wave forms and creates warning messages for the user. The detector detects the electromagnetic waves generated in lightning strikes. With its powerful reception, this detector has the capability to trace the lightening from 5 miles to as far as 75 miles.

The whole idea of the conception of the portable lightning detector came to Edward Shaver’s mind when he had read a story about a boy who was killed due to the lightning which struck on the little league field in the early 1990s.
