Just yesterday, we read of the Northstar Aviation’s flight simulators developed to mimic flying in bad weather. Today we have a Portable Gliding Simulator from the world down under. While gliding has been a passion in the adjoining country (New Zealand), Australians haven’t been into gliding, therefore the designers have come up with the Portable Gliding Simulator to help train pilots and attract people towards the sport. Weigh about 450 kgs the simulator is only portable as far as its name, nevertheless it is a perfect simulation machine, it’s “just like the real thing.” Complete with a working instrument panel, cockpit, and head tracking system, the simulator forces us to get into it and try it for ourselves.
