We aren’t new to the cars being controlled by iPhones and iPods. We’ve seen an iPod Touch control a Mazda RX-8, and then the iDrive driving app allowing the iPhone to remotely control a car. Now, Dave Phipps has used a system called RedEye to help him control his 1969 Pontiac GTO with an iPod Touch. The RedEye allows the iPhone or an iPod Touch to work as a universal remote control over Wi-Fi, and this is the advantage Dave has played on to build himself this unique control setup to control the GTO’s ignition, stereo, doors and more remotely by his iPod Touch. Read on to see the video on how the damn thing works as a setup.
