Plextor introduces PX-HDTV500U Mini Digital HDTV receiver
To watch, pause, and record High-definition TV and Standard-definition TV videos on notebook PCs, Plextor has introduced its Mini Digital HDTV receiver PX-HDTV500U. This tiny device weighs only 20 grams and functions on some basic hardware configurations to enable its proper functioning.

To sport Standard-definition TV stipulations the device looks for windows 2000/XP/Vista-based computer, an Intel Pentium III processor at 1.0 GHz or equivalent CPU, 256 MB RAM, 32 MB VGA card, sound card or on-board sound chip, and USB 2.0.
In the same way to function with High- definition TV, PX-HDTV500U needs Windows 2000/ XP/ Vista that sports 3Ghz-class Pentium 4 processor or similar 512MB RAM, 128MB Graphics and a sound card.
The device is also capable to sport almost all modern notebook computers and also supports DTV Standard ATSC protocol for free air-to-air digital terrestrial TV with audio program playing.
This high-speed USB 2.0 receiver comes equipped with PVR software that automatically searches free air-to-air digital and HD signals with its flat digital antenna.
