Although we cannot make these flying machines as light as the humming bird, however, Boeing is trying to shed off the extra flab without compromising the strength.



The latest technology to be introduced by Boeing would use non-metal composite materials or plastics to manufacture airplanes. Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner is the first towards this effect will take off next year. It’s made of carbon-fiber based composite materials, that make it light, more fuel-efficient, and robust, as these materials do not corrode. The best part of these next-generation planes is that these are more cost-effective, with respect to both building and maintenance.
