Plant cells to control robot

It seems like the scientists are much into the Matrix. When spinach can power electronic devices, why not plant cells control future robots? Various organisms survive in complex environments and successfully contribute towards the evolution process. Researchers from Japan and U.K. are working on similar theory bring nature to robotics. The interface between a plant and an omnidirectional hexapod robot built by the researchers will soon take us to biohybrid architectures.
