Pioneer rolls out 18x SATA DVD burner

Pioneer recently announced the deliverances of its latest DVR-S12J, a 18x DVD Multi-burner with SATA interface. The drive is to be retailed in Japan early June and will be available in white and black bezel variations.

The internal SATA drive claims to write on DVD±R media at 18X, DVD±R DL at 10X, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RW at 6X DVD-RAM at 12X , CD-R at 40X, and CD-RW at 32X. Labelflash disc labeling technology is also allowed in DVR-S12J of drives. Besides Pioneer's "PowerRead" function is given to make stronger the drive's potentials to read scratched discs.
