Finally there is a new fun twist to saving your money. A Japanese developer created a game within the piggy bank where you have a virtual affair with the cartoon on the LCD screen. The electronic piggy bank is named Ikemenbank meaning handsome men bank. Of course, you can tell from the name, is is meant for the ladies. The game, although short, is supposed to leave you with butterflies in your stomach and a longing for more. The game ends after you insert 500 yen, around 100 coins and has various endings. You can either end in total despair, or you can end in happiness, you choose with your answers. So not only does it help you save, it gives you a fun game to play in the meantime.
The main mission of Bandai Corps, in words of their spokeswoman Kasumi Nakanishi:
We wanted to provide a ‘flavor of life’ to women in various generations...To help users experience the reality of having butterflies in their stomach, this time we sought advice from a ‘love-life psychologist’.
The game also has some more features like picking from 5 sets of guys. Also, if you neglect your ‘friend’ for more than 5 days, he leaves you and drops a farewell note behind him. Although with a pretty steep price tag, $45.67, it might be worth it to help you save that extra coin.
