3 mobile platforms + DIY prowess = Feet tapping music

Posted By: Gaurav Sood | May 7 2010

Apps can weave their magic on any mobile platform, and this time around it is thrice the fun. Phone Guitar by [steffest] is one musical instrument that has 2 Android devices, 2 Windows Mobile devices and 1 iPod Touch playing Cracklin’ Rosie by Neil Diamond. All this is made possible by creating same app (small piano/drum sequencer) for Android, Windows Mobile and iPhone OS mobile platforms written by [steffest] himself. The main instruments are the iShred and Guitar apps by Frontiedesign, and for the real time effects Stompbox is used. To tap in the musical extravagance all at once, the 5 devices are attached to a piece of wood coupled-up with a battery powered speaker. And boy, does this DIY Phone Guitar give a hell lot of instrumental music performance? I bet it will surely make you tap your feet. Have a look at the video of Phone Guitar played by [steffest] after the jump.
