Now, this is what I think is the story of the day. Philips is being reported to be readying an Apple TV-like set-top box, which will stream both audio and video from a home network to a TV. Isn’t it the same like our Apple TV? The dedicated media streamer was exhibited at the Computex 2007 last week. Somehow, it looks like that Philips has wrapped the Apple TV in a smooth aluminum case. It comes with an HDMI port, an optical digital audio output, and built-in 40GB HDD that can be further expanded via USB 2.0. Unfortunately, we know nothing about the specs and the interface of the device till now. We will keep you posted.
