Sweet things come in small packages and the sweetest redefine convention. Traditional webcams are seldom radically designed. Perhaps, designers are remiss about the looks aspect of this taken-for-granted technology. So, when we stumble across web cam creations that remind you of anything but a ‘blob with a dot in the center’, our eyes light up and pulses start racing. The Flynn Product Design team has performed another design coup by unveiling this hi-resolution Bluetooth Web Camera. Designed with ABS and Polypropylene, this gadget borrows its looks from sci-fi movies that have three-legged freaks trying to destroy the world. Fortunately, this Philips product doesn’t belie its flamboyant appearance. One of its interesting features is the flexibility it offers in camera angles. A ball and socket joint connecting the base and body units make this possible. And those of you who aren’t content with the web-cam can take the Bluetooth USB Dongle home as well.
UPDATE 05-August-2008: We received an email from Chris Flynn Director of Flynn Product Design Ltd, stating that ‘Philips do not manufacture this device’ (the fact however doesn’t undermine the web cam’s creditibility), he also sent us the actual images of the concept (without the Philips insignia) - therefore, we have made the changes as Chris advised. [Thanks Chris]

Its interesting to see what the blogs are saying about our work. A lot of people think this would be cool if it was robotic. What do RRP do you think the market would pay for that?
