Most interesting and distinguishable feature, I found in IAI EL/M-2075 Phalcon, is its nose. It is an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) radar system, which is used by variety of nations. Phalcon enjoyed the privilege of being the most advanced AEW&C system in the world after it came into existence as a result of a partnership between Israeli Aircraft Industries and Elta Electronics Industries, of Israel. Mount the radars on the aircraft’s fuselage or on the top inside a small dome, the radar will have 360 degree coverage. Quit stout, it work in all weather conditions, in both day and night. Further, systems can combine with variety of platforms including Boeing 707, Boeing 767, Boeing 747, Airbus and C-130. After it was sold to Chile, it is called ‘Condor’. Check out the video and watch this flying wonder in action.
