Peep into Hitachi’s 3D mobile phone that needs no freakin’ glasses

3D will be the next big thing in years to come; stepping on the pedal to get things in their stride, Hitachi in collaboration with Technicolor has developed this displayed 3D mobile phone. Seen at the Technicolor’s premises in London was the Wooo H001 mobile handset from Hitachi. The best thing about this handset is its ability to produce content in 3D. Offering a 3D parallax view within a clamshell design, the mobile phone features an 854x480, 3.1-inch stereoscopic screen whereon you can enjoy the content. This screen, which can be flipped both vertically and horizontally, with the stereoscopic design, can be viewed without the 3D glasses, but you’ll have to view the screen from 90-degrees for best output. Available only in Asia, the Wooo H001 isn't coming to west, but the makers are expected to be doing similar phones for the west - so the future may have them for you. Hit the jump to see a demonstration video of the mobile phone.
