PAS Brace - Yamaha's intelligent electric bike
Bicycles are usually green and environmentally friendly but remain slow and needs a lot of effort. Electric bikes that are intelligent enough are rare and sometimes lack many good features that normally are expected of such vehicles. However, Yamaha Motors has unveiled a relatively affordable electric bike, which not only does the job of transporting you but also monitors your riding behavior and acts accordingly. Called the PAS Brace, it features S.P.E.C 8 mechanism, which monitors the rider's speed, acceleration and gear position. This monitoring helps conserve battery life and in the end turns out to be quite environmentally friendly as it conserves energy. At about $1171, the bike is cost effective and comes in three elegant colors.
