Paper cards go digital, send them Via SMS now
Mobile technology has shown post offices and other postage departments way out of the market, and has eaten upon a major chunk of their profits. The SMS services have been the biggest peril in road for the same. SMS's were just text until, but come this fall and you could send greeting cards via SMS, another tumbling stone for the postal sector.

You must have guessed the brains behind the innovation - yes it is Japanese again. Japan Post, government's post office earlier now a private company, has tagged-up with the nation's wireless carrier KDDI, to enable it customers to send their New Year's cards by cellphone e-mail, designed and sent via test messaging.
All that the customers have to do is write the message using cellphone text messaging then email the card on the special address, to KDDI Corp. chargeable to some service fee. The card will then be printed and delivered at the receiver's postal address. So here the effort of taking time-out of that busy schedule and sending out cards by hand is minimized, however the service will only be available to KDDI customers.
