For people who love to go on long drives they stick to few basic requirements - money for gas and food, good company and on-going music.

Even though BMW got this late, they acted fast enough by adding Pandora to the list of apps to be provided with their 2011 and 2012 models. BMW uses its very own iDrive System to control the streaming music service with this latest version connected iPhone apps.

iPhone works as an interface where it connects to the Pandora and provides a seamless internet connectivity for streaming live music. With Pandora a music lover will know no bounds as its provides access to unlimited stations, creating new station and book marking songs practically everything except that they still haven't come up with a technology where you can buy them also.
One has an option either to use the iDrive controller or steering wheel buttons to interact with the apps. Available on all 2011 BMW models built after March and equipped with the $250 BMW apps option (I wonder why they have this optional, as BMW itself doesn't come cheap).

However for you to live the experience you first need to download the latest version of the BMW Connected and Pandora apps from the iTunes store. Then you have to pair your iPhone to the BMW apps by using an USB cable or the optional snap-in adapter in the center armrest unlike Toyota's Entune platform, which uses Bluetooth.
