Panasonic's projectors can be used on curved surfaces

To output images onto a curved surface with minimal distortion is a tough job indeed and requires a number of additional equipment. These external equipments take up a lot of space and cost quite a lot too. Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd has developed business-oriented projectors, which can output images on curved surface without these extra components. A dedicated LSI creates image data according to the curved surface on which they are projected. The projectors, PT-D12000 and PT-DZ12000, could be used at exhibitions, seminars, amusement facilities etc. However, the curvature radii of the compatible screens were not specified by Panasonic. The business-use projectors are brighter than their existing models as they use a 300W lamp instead of the 250W lamp. They would hit stores by August and would cost US$69,000.
