Panasonic PT-AE1000 Projector: Old Wine in New Bottle

Following the Cinetron who just announced their new LCoS Projector HD900, Panasonic announced the PT-AE1000 at CEDIA, their first 1080p LCD projector as well.

Featuring Epson's new 0.7″ D6 1080p LCD chips, earlier used in LCoS Projector HD900 and Mitsubishi HC5000BL, there is nothing innovative or exceptional. Also presents Fine technology, 1100 lumens brightness, 2x visual zoom, lens shift, and remarkable throw ratio of about 100″ at 3 ~ 6 meters.
Hence, market flooded with various projectors we may expect a stiff competition in cost as well as other features. You may have to wait until November to own a Panasonic PT-AE1000.
