Panasonic launches ToughBook 31 fully rugged notebook with Core i5

If you’d ask me to list out what I like best from Panasonic, the rugged notebooks would certainly be in the top bit of my list. Now, following the upgrading refreshment for its fully-rugged line of notebooks with the ToughBook 31, Panasonic has left me totally awestruck. Panasonic has stuffed the ToughBook 31with Core i5 or i3 processors and an optional ATI Radeon HD 5650. Featuring a 13.1 inch 1024x768 LED backlit touchscreen LCD, the ToughBook gets 2 GB DDR3 RAM with a shock-proof hard drive and Wi-Fi and WiMAX for connectivity. Boasting 11 hour of battery backup, the ToughBook 31 comes with rugged certifications beyond MIL-STD-810G and IP65 with a 6-foot drop rating. Beside all the good things, what has left me without a rugged notebook is its price – and that’s evident .with the $3,799 that Panasonic would sell the Toughbook 31 beginning today.
