drug dispensing robot
Panasonic in its endeavor to make a difference in hospitals has developed robot with medical intentions. Designed to dispense drugs to patients, the robot will be introduced in the Japanese hospitals before it marches onto Europe and America. Connected with the electronic medical records, the bot is stuffed with drugs which are sorted out by the robot according to each patient’s medical prescription and are then placed fine in the drawer bearing the individuals name (intelligent, isn’t it?). Minimizing considerably on the time lag concerned with skilled pharmacists in doing the same job, the robot costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, but Panasonic believes the revenues from the robot will be quite pleasing.
