Conceiving hard drive with 1TB capacity is steadily becoming a routine. To do the same capacity hard drives but with the tinge of their own, Origin Storage has unveiled a TB hard drive with built-in hardware encryption. This drive, which is called the Data Locker Secure Drive, is stuffed in with a wide range of security features to help make sure that none of your secret’s revealed in public in case you misplaced.
Available in two versions, Pro editions with 128bit AES encryption and Enterprise version with 256bit, the external hard drive is powered via USB, supports a rugged exterior and LCD screen to provide status information and also comes with a 2.5-inch SATA drive featured inside.
The LCD screen makes provision for a 18 digit PIN number required to access the drive. And because the hard drive handles all data itself, it doesn’t need to be installed on the computer it’s plugged into. 1TB Pro version of the external drive sells for a retail price of £399 (approx. $650), I would take that for the security guaranteed.
