In an industry ruled by entertainment gadget giants, small-timers often lose their way. There are a few that hold their own, though. ORACOM, despite the stiff competition, has shown the courage to launch its mini portable media player – the W30. For now, we aren’t getting carried away by its diminutive yet cute size, ‘coz the PMP might just be one of the ‘run of the mill’ devices that stereotype feature sets. The W30 has a 3inch wide screen with WQVGA resolution and comes loaded with an electronic dictionary, voice recording, text & image viewer, and support for media formats like DMB. Now ubiquitous, the haptic user interface also finds its way into the W30.
Pricing & Availability: ORACOM’s mini PMP W30 will retail for around $170 (200,000 KRW) and will be available in Korea from 29th September.
Watch This: Been there, seen that. Well, that pretty much sums up our feeling for the W30. It has very little to offer in terms of features and isn’t great looking, either. Sometimes, brand loyalty isn’t too bad.

Mary from Ounae says:
At first glance looks good, with its large screen and a sober design that you feel to perfection.
