Optoma HD81: 1080p comes to Projectors

Finally, long awaited 1080i has made its way to the home-theatre projectors, and very first of them is the Optoma HD81.

This two-piece projector/processor system employs a new Texas Instruments 1080p chipset having 12000:1 contrast ratio, 1300 lumens and includes three HDMI inputs. The projector is available in Taiwan for 299,000 TWD i.e. $9,114 US.
