robotic arm
In case you’re a couch potato, or a much lazier thing you can whimsically imagine, in search for a robotic assistant but cannot afford one from the brand, here is an open source DIY robotic arm put together for your service by developers at Oomlout.

The Opensource robotic arm at Thingiverse.com invites you to build your own robotic arm and more importantly calls for assistance to improvise on the developed arm. Costing about $150, with all pieces and servo controller, the robotic arm with only 5 degree mobility freedom, has lot that can be improved upon.

Stuffing in the robot with more enhanced inverse kinematic program and a better gripper, a more intelligent arm with varying utilities could be reached. And both fun and potential can be doubled.
