The innovations have made a revolutionary change in field of IT. In early days, a PC was limited to a single person, but Internet connection has change the scenario. Gmail, Writely, Flicker and Del.icio. us have replaced common programs. An abundantly used online app is email. The online services like Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo’s mail have made Outlook Express services outdated.

The websites, which work more like a program e.g. Gmail, gives you tremendous services like automatic draft saving and active address filing menus. E-mail is a richly used online app. If you look at the top left corner of Gmail, you will notice a new menu that takes you to your calendar or spreadsheets that you can use as Microsoft Excel. Same thing is with Google offering you document editor without any installation. It helps you to move your files from one computer to another. If you create any document and edit it via Google then the document can be opened and edited anywhere either by you or your partner.

Basic apps like word processor that stores files, does not slow down your PC’s speed, would not process fast if you delete existing files from it. The software-engineers should develop a system that can integrate online and offline apps. It would grant users to share and edit files and backup system.
