Another retro design for Steampunk fans: The Steampunk Ray Gun
It has been raining Steampunk concepts over the last year or so and here is one more Steampunk concept which takes the the form of a ray gun that might actually work. No-no, don't expect to shoot out rays like in the Sci-fi movies but you might just be able to shoot out compressed air or even squirt out water as the Steampunk gun looks to be connected to a steampunk compressor. Like all Steampunk designed things, this gun too has plenty of wood and brass on it for that ancient feel. The pictures indicate a missing trigger which means that this gun is still 'under construction'. The gun also seems to have a vial filled with a bluish liquid which we think is probably a pure cosmetic addition. Apart from this, lots of wires and springs abound this gun give it an almost realistic look and also gives room for speculating that this gun might actually work. All said and done, this probably is a design concept to be showcased in your living room rather than go shooting with, because the gun's barrel is apparently sealed. And till we have further word from it's designers, we cannot predict too much about this very retro-looking Steampunk Ray Gun. Check out the gallery for more images.
