Using both the hands to take a picture could very soon be the thing of the past even with those big and professional cameras. That is something already outdated with the camera mobiles that are around offering more comfort and mobility. But nothing actually matches the perfect snap captured by that amazing camera. Even those can now be operated with just a single hand if the Index is followed as a blueprint by all!
Mikhail Stawsky believes he has the answer to designing a truly universally comfortable camera called Index. All the mechanics are the same as any said camera but the body has one handle giant handle that rotates left or right, depending on your dexterity. The shutter display and trigger are all within thumb’s reach. The main part of the camera houses the lens, viewfinder, screen, and mode dial. The flash is hidden in the handle itself.
The arrangement of the lens compartment and the handle might not gives users a good balance when holding by one hand as it is hard to remain horizontal level when shooting too. The camera is by no means the perfect final copy of the technology and if a big company like Canon takes it up then maybe we will soon have a more refined, balanced and comfortable one-handed marvel that will capture the perfect picture!
