OmegaTable - Gestural integration for better human interaction

Posted By: Jaiyant Cavale | Aug 6 2008

OmegaTable, a virtual reality table has been developed by the Electronic Visualization Laboratory. The display would have a multi sensory touch tabletop, 2D visual data exploration 3D for which you do not need glasses. The Omega Table may have up to 24 million pixels of resolution just like the LambdaTable we have been hearing all this while. However, the main difference between the two tables is that human interaction has been made possible in the OmegaTable. Gestural integration allows you to experience the virtual world without being burdened by 3D glasses, gloves etc. The production may begin in September.
