Olympus to take a break from MP3 players

Japanese press group IMPRESS reports that Olympus want to cease the production and sale of their m:robe 500 and 100 MP3 players temporarily. It seems that the sale of the innovating 500 was below the expectation of the company. It can be explained by the competition it has received from Apple's iPOD.

Olympus has further stated that the company would want its focus to be on the digital cameras.
