Official NASA app lands on the iPad & iPhone
Good news for space nerds who have an iPhone/ iPad as NASA has official launched its app in the App Store. A very cool app with awesome images, videos and a advanced search options. NASA app has tons of information on whatever NASA is up to. Right from the mission launch information, designated orbit trackers, images of the day to the sighting opportunities like the visible passes for the ISS and shuttle(s). The app offers NASA services such as Twitter feeds, Facebook Connect and Integrated NASA client if you have a WiFi, 3G or Edge network. With a database of over 1,25,000 images and loads of videos NASA app will have you spoilt for choices.

The only thing that I miss in the NASA app is the lack of augmented reality feature and the GPS location based viewing when satellite traversed your area. Other than that the NASA app is great, and is a treat to navigate the skies on the iPad’s big screen.
