OctArm Continuum Manipulator: Is this a robot or an elephant?

The robotic elephant is actually dubbed as 'OctArm Continuum Manipulator' and is created by scientists at NASA. The robotic trunk is especially designed to grab just anything, as you can see it in action in the video. It's yet another example of natural technology, where researchers perhaps learnt the mechanism behind elephant's trunk, which is made of around forty thousand individual muscles and can deftly pick up a single blade of grass with ease and is also strong enough to rip off trees, and created this impeccable machine.
