'NRC-3000': A 900MHz RFID Reader from Netron

Netron Tech has developed the 'NRC-3000' RFID Reader, which it plans to launch in the first half of 2007.

Netron unveiled the device at the RFID/USN KOREA 2006 show.

An Intel PXA 255 400MHz processor, a 32 MB ROM, 128MB RAM and Windows CE 5.0 OS, powers the device.

NRC-3000 has a 3.5-inch touch screen, foldable RFID Antenna, RFID Scanner, 1D/2D barcode scanner, USB, SD/CF card slot to take care of your memory requirements, 802.11b/g WLAN and CDMA1x wireless communication capability.

With so much under its hood, the device weighs 600gms. (Better, have strong Pockets to hold that...!). The device will be available in the first half of next year. There was no news on how much the device will cost but stay tuned for the update.
