Hail control gun: Finally a gun that's good for something
If you thought, you couldn't do a damn except curse the sky and sit with your head in your palms when hailstones flattened your precious kitchen garden, think again. Now, you can actually challenge mother nature and stop a bit of her fury with this gun of a very different kind, The Hail control gun, as they call it. Wow, that sounds like the invention of this century. No-No, this contraption has been there for ages with fruit farmers in France, Spain, Belgium and Austria, literally using it to shoot down hail, albeit in a primitive form. What, this Hail Gun does is, it disperses the dangerous hailstones into very adorable fresh snow and romantic light rain. Jokes apart, the Hail gun is very serious, focussed device which is mounted in a steel room like chamber, that holds the Hail gun along with materials like acetylene and mixed gas required to run it.
The high tension Hail gun, which runs at a very high voltage, on acetylene and mixed gas, shoots ionizing shock waves into the sky, at the hail clouds, every five seconds. When these ionized waves hit the hail-clouds, which sit at a stratospheric 15000m at a freezing -50 degrees centigrade, they are reflected back and thus collide with incoming shock waves from the hail gun. As the shock waves collide, they liberate a huge potential which sweeps away electrons in one giant rush. This sweeping results in the hail-clouds getting mixed polarities and mixed polarities mean that they can no longer get bigger with hail and so they have to obey gravity, and let all the hail fall down , as romantic, light rain and soft fluffy adorable, snow over the wide area where the shock wave operates.
It also has a Radio and a SMS module in the enclosure to relay-MISSION COMPLETED. And what's more, the Hail gun's batteries get recharged by solar energy via a solar panel on top of the metal enclosure earning it a brownie point from mother nature. Challenging, mighty mother nature obviously doesn't come cheap with the Hail gun selling for 44000 euros. That is one nice expensive gun that does some good for a change. The scarecrow sure has some serious competition in the form of the HCG.
