The SKR claims that they were asked to create a large-screen device having a multi-touch functionality as seen in smartphones, and that is when the idea actually flashed to them. Wanting to make a device with crisp, fluid movement, the company first tried its luck using Windows 7, which failed to satisfy the consumer needs. Moreover, the touch panel and the peripheral manufacturers did not seem to support the Android OS, which had led to temporary closure of the project. However, the company was willing to focus on the Android in the future as well, and that is when it decided to develop its own device driver for the same.

SKR has been focusing on digital signages and with this new invention of self-developed device driver for Android, it will not take much time for the company to climb the ladders of success.
