Noelle is a full-sized pregnant robot giving birth in medical schools and maternity wards. Now thousands of patients can be sure that they’re not being used as guinea pigs. The $20,000 Noelle has eliminated the risk involved in cases where patients die due to preventable medical errors, especially in pregnancy-care training programs.



Noelle, designed by Gaumard Scientific Co. Inc., Miami, is doing its commendable job in most of Kaiser’s 30 hospitals and others too are willing to adopt her. Noelle is programmed to act as per the training program, delivering pink dolls for hours, bleeding, breathing and urinating too.
