Balancing yourself on a skateboard is a tricky issue, especially when you’re a novice. In times like these, you wish technology would rear its head and offer you an easier alternative. And that’s precisely when designers rack their brains and come up with the most effective solution. Like this self-balancing “No-Snowboard,” for example. Based on a Segway, the skateboard requires no human effort for balancing. And interestingly, it doesn’t throw you off-balance if there is a sudden stop. Instead, you can just jump off and keep running. The self-balancing act is achieved by a gyroscope, and the intelligence inside is driven by an ATMega 32 microcontroller.
