Nike +iPod shoes kit is a favorite workout accessory for the athletes. However, the deadly duo can be used as a surveillance device by a third person, which poses a major risk to you personal security as figured by the researchers at the University of Washington.
The Nike + iPod device transmits data from a gizmo in a runner’s shoe to an iPod. The iPod receives the information from a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip in the shoe. The range of broadcasting the information is up to 60 feet. Any one using a cheap surveillance device with in 60 feet can detect the identifier in the messages and can constantly monitor your movements.
This is a big advantage for a person with bad intentions and burglars who can easily track the status of your house and plan things to harm you. I think the device needs certain modification to ensure our security.
