33 mp integral 3d tv from nhk

The Integral 3D TV has been around for a couple of years now and therefore a better version was predictably in the works. The upgrade has been scheduled for an exhibition to be organized by the inventor - Japanese Broadcasting Corporation - itself. Compared to its predecessors, the Ultra High-Definition TV would boast of improved resolution with a 33 megapixel variant being showcased. The upgraded variant would indeed be exhibited for two consecutive years after which it would hopefully roll of the production floors. The Science and Technical Research Laboratories (STRL) revealed that the Ultra HD Integral 3D TV has been revamped with reduced array pitch to 1.34mm.

The vertical and the horizontal resolutions of 3D images have also been doubled which increased the resolution four-fold in totality. Another improvement is the OLED panel, which is doubled by bringing into use the production method of the TFT arrays normally used for driving and selecting pixels. The inkjet process for developing the OLED layer has been replaced by vapor deposition.
