Nokia will soon arm you with more power by adding Webcam & WiMax to its next generation Linux 770 tablets. The future 770 internet-only devices will lack cellular connectivity. According to Ari Virtanen, VP of convergence products at Nokia, the cellular free route gives them more freedom and hence the company will stick to it.
So it’s clear that Nokia will not stand straight up against the UMPC bandwagon and will not release tablets with ability to connect to cellular networks, at least for now. The next generation tablets, though, will carry same features as those of the Linux 770, the devices might now feature a touch screen thumb-typing keyboard along with a webcam and WiMax.
