Developed at the Technical University of Munich, a new household robot called B21 is all set to take over your kitchen duties. The bot can keep track of the contents of your kitchen, learn simple tasks, and can even operate in a real kitchen that has been set up with RFID tags. Using radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags on dishes and utensils in the “Assistive Kitchen“, the bot can interpret and understand everyday activities using vision data, and can learn simple tasks simply by observing the movements of the objects. Of course the technology is still in its infancy is still being developed, but if this receives even a degree of success, it might soon become a regular feature in most urban households cooking and cleaning as well as humans. Watch the bot in action here and here.
