Shuttle has designed a Home Theater PC: XPC M1000. The machine uses Intel’s Pentium M model 740 processor at 1.73GHz and is designed much on the grounds of a larger version of a laptop.
A soft blue glow of the vacuum fluorescent display and the full-size DVD tray makes it seem like any other media center. It resembles a lot like a normal PC. The PCI and PCIe slots are mounted horizontally which makes you see the 2 TV tuners. The PCIe GeForce 6600LE is placed at the bottom.
The M1000 only supports analog TV inputs. The Shuttle system has a pair of doors at the back from where the CPU and memory can be accessed. This system uses DDR SODIMMs. The M1000 also has an empty USB shell that can be used for a 2.5-inch hard drive, which allows data transfer easily.
